1. Operator, scope and acceptance
Jibli is a peer-to-peer marketplace operated under the Jibli brand by MacKit Limited, a company registered in the Commonwealth of Dominica, with its registered location in Roseau, Dominica. MacKit Limited is the Platform operator. By creating an account, accepting an order or using Jibli, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. You must be at least 18 and legally capable of entering agreements. You may use Jibli only where lawful.
2. What Jibli does—and does not do
Jibli is a peer-to-peer matching and communication service. Buyers request items; Travelers traveling independently may agree to purchase those items from trusted retailers or verified sellers, carry them, and hand them over in person. Jibli provides profiles, trip and item listings, chat, order status, delivery codes, optional identity checks, reviews, reports and administrative review. Jibli is not the seller, purchaser, carrier, freight forwarder, customs broker, insurer, bank, payment institution or party to any Buyer–Traveler purchase or transport agreement. Jibli does not take possession of, authenticate, inspect or guarantee items. A match, badge, listing or order status is not a guarantee of legality, quality, identity, performance or delivery.
3. Public beta; no Jibli payments or fees
This is an experimental beta that may contain errors, interruptions or incomplete features. Jibli does not charge fees and does not collect, process, hold, safeguard, release, transfer, refund or pay out money in the beta. There is no Jibli escrow, buyer protection fund or payment guarantee. Buyers and Travelers independently arrange and execute any payments outside Jibli, potentially using cash or third-party payment services. Sharing payment instructions in chat does not make Jibli a payment processor. Users bear the risk of direct payments, chargebacks, fraud, nonpayment and refunds, subject to applicable law. Jibli's suggested approach is for the Buyer to pay the item price before purchase and the Traveler reward upon receipt; this is guidance, not a guarantee, requirement imposed by a payment provider, or Jibli's undertaking to reimburse either party. Record your agreement in the order chat and independently verify any payment. Future in-app payments, service fees or payment-provider protections will require separate updated terms before launch; existing beta orders will not be retroactively charged a Jibli fee.
4. Orders and handover
A Buyer may ask a Traveler to bring an item, or a Traveler may offer to fulfill an open request. An order is created after Traveler acceptance and Buyer confirmation; no payment is taken by Jibli. The parties must agree on the exact item, specifications, price, reward, purchase timing, delivery place and time, and any taxes or duties. The Traveler may mark an item purchased and optionally upload a receipt. The Buyer provides a one-time delivery code at handover; entry of that code marks the order completed in Jibli's records, with no additional in-app inspection period. The code is evidence of a handover confirmation, not conclusive proof that the item conforms, that payment occurred or that legal rights have been waived. Do not disclose the code before actual handover and inspection reasonably possible at the meeting. Any statutory rights remain unaffected.
5. Cancellations and direct refunds
Before the Traveler purchases the item, either party may cancel. If the Buyer paid the Traveler directly, the Traveler should promptly return the relevant amount using a mutually agreed, traceable method. After purchase, a Buyer seeking cancellation must request it and coordinate with the Traveler; if the item can be returned to the seller, the parties should arrange its return and repayment of recovered funds. If it cannot be returned, the Buyer may remain responsible for the agreed item cost, subject to applicable law and the facts of the transaction. If the Traveler cancels after purchase or cancels the trip, the Traveler is responsible for resolving the item purchase and returning amounts already paid by the Buyer, subject to applicable law. Jibli cannot reverse, compel or issue refunds of money paid directly between users. The parties' legal rights and obligations are determined by their agreement and applicable law; Jibli's in-app status is not a court judgment.
6. Item safety, customs and airline rules
Travelers must never accept a package or item handed to them by another person for carriage. They must personally purchase the requested item from a trusted store or verified seller and inspect it before transport. Travelers are responsible for checking legality at origin, transit and destination; customs declarations, import/export rules, taxes, duties, aviation security, baggage and dangerous-goods restrictions, and their airline/employer policies. Buyers must accurately identify the item and must not conceal its nature or request unlawful carriage. No weapons, ammunition, explosives, illicit drugs, counterfeit goods, hazardous materials, live animals, prohibited currency or valuables, or other restricted or illegal goods may be arranged through Jibli. Commercial inventory, bulk resale shipments and business-to-business cargo are not permitted. Some medicines, batteries, cosmetics and electronics may be restricted even if legal to buy. See jibli.ai/guidelines; the guidelines supplement these Terms. Neither Jibli's guidelines nor a user's declaration replaces official customs, aviation or carrier rules. Jibli may remove a listing or suspend an account when safety or compliance concerns arise.
7. Safety and user conduct
Meet only in safe, well-lit public places. Independently assess the other user, the retailer and the item. Do not send money based solely on a profile badge, chat message or screenshot. Do not impersonate others, misrepresent items, harass users, post unlawful content, manipulate reviews, bypass security, scrape the Platform, misuse other users' data or attempt fraud. Do not publish another person's private information. Users are responsible for their listings, chats, reviews and their own transactions. Jibli may moderate, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts and refer suspected illegal activity to competent authorities where lawful.
8. Optional identity verification
Identity verification is voluntary and may involve an ID photo and selfie manually reviewed by authorized administrators. A “Verified” badge indicates only that an ID was reviewed against a submitted image at a point in time; it is not a background check, credit check, criminal-history check, endorsement or guarantee of trustworthiness. Do not rely on a badge as a substitute for your own precautions. Verification handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Reports, disputes and recommendations
Either user may report a problem, including nondelivery, incorrect items, missing purchases, loss or nonresponse. Jibli may ask for evidence within an in-app time window and review messages, order records and submitted material. Any beta dispute outcome is an administrative, nonbinding recommendation only. Jibli cannot adjudicate legal rights, guarantee recovery, freeze external funds or enforce a refund. Jibli may take account-level action and may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. Users remain free to seek available remedies from each other, payment providers or courts.
10. Content, license and intellectual property
You retain rights in content you upload and grant Jibli a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, transmit and moderate that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the Platform, subject to the Privacy Policy. You warrant that you have rights to upload it. Jibli's software, branding and design belong to their respective owners. You receive a limited, revocable, nontransferable license to use the Platform for its intended purpose. Do not copy or commercially exploit the Platform without permission.
11. Availability, disclaimers and liability
The beta is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. Jibli does not promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, successful matching, legal importability, payment performance, delivery or item quality. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jibli and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits or opportunities arising from Platform use or user-to-user transactions. To the extent a monetary liability cap is legally permitted, aggregate liability for claims relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) fees paid by you to Jibli in the 12 months preceding the claim (currently zero in beta) or (b) USD 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including fraud, willful misconduct, applicable consumer rights, personal injury or other mandatory protections.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify the Platform operator against third-party claims, reasonable costs and damages arising from your unlawful acts, inaccurate listings, prohibited items, customs violations, infringement, or breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by the operator's own unlawful conduct or fault. This provision does not override nonwaivable consumer protections.
13. Account suspension and deletion
You may delete your account in the app. Jibli may suspend or terminate accounts for suspected abuse, illegality, security risks or material breaches, using reasonable discretion and applicable legal requirements. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel obligations already agreed with another user. Personal-data retention and anonymization are addressed in the Privacy Policy.
14. Changes, governing law and complaints
We may update these Terms and notify users of material changes as required by law. For complaints contact support@jibli.ai. These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Dominica. Subject to mandatory applicable law, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or use of Jibli shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Commonwealth of Dominica. Mandatory consumer protection, privacy and other non-waivable rights may apply regardless of this choice of law. English and Arabic versions are provided for accessibility; in the event of a discrepancy, the English version governs only to the extent permitted by applicable law. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
